Voting in Hyde Park

This page provides information on polling places in Hyde Park, and provides links to other useful information. All of Hyde Park is part of Boston’s Ward 18 which, with 23 precincts, is one of the largest wards in the city. Ward 18 also includes precincts in Mattapan and Roslindale.

Please note that because the fundamental level of local political organization in Boston is the ward and precinct, the political information provided in this website covers all precincts of Ward 18, regardless of whether a precinct is in Hyde Park, Mattapan, or Roslindale.

Knowing Your Ward and Precinct

In order to vote in person, you must present yourself at the correct polling place (determined by your precinct and ward) on Election Day. A poll worker can only admit into a voting booth a registered voter whose name appears on the roster from that precinct. It is therefore essential to know the ward and precinct in which you live.
